I told you about our really exciting new project on Monday. An Unexpected Journal is off to a strong start, and if you decided to check it out, I am incredibly grateful. As a writer, it is always exciting when somebody reads what you have written. That always makes my day.
I want to tell you a little bit more about what I have learned from this project.
1. Spiritual warfare is more aggressive when something great is going to happen.
If you ever doubted the reality of the activity of the supernatural in our world, let me just tell you that you do so at your own peril. I am not going to divulge any personal details or anything like that because certain things were obviously told within the confidence of our group, but this amazing group of people has seen a great deal of adversity over the past few months.
That tells me that there was an enemy who did not want this to happen. The fact that it did happen is a testimony to God’s power in helping us overcome and ultimately launch on time and successfully.
2. We are better together.
It is kind of amazing when I read the things that my associates wrote. Some of the ideas they have blow my mind. There are things I never would have thought of myself and connections they see that I have not naturally come up with. I could have written 11 articles for you about The Abolition of Man, but I would not have come up with the incredible variety that we were able to put together for you. That’s the cool part about working with other people. You got the best of all of us, and that is better than the best of any one of us.
3. The journey never ends.
We have one great issue, and I am very excited about that as you can probably tell. It is awesome that we were able to get this addition out to all. That is amazing. That being said, the journey is far from over because in three months, we are coming out with more. We’re already starting the process. We’re already thinking about what we’re going to do next and how we can make this better. Of course, there is always room for improvement, and we’re going to keep working. One issue was great, but we’re hoping to keep this going for a long time. We have to keep our mind on the future while simultaneously enjoying this process.
I’m sure I will continue learning more as this process continues, but these three things came through loud and clear in these first few months. Another big thing stood out to me as well though. We got it done. This project actually happened, and it actually happened because of what God did in and through us. We couldn’t have done it without Him, and that is how we will carry on.
